On Monday, April 18, 2016 the Broughton Construction Company partnering , with DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DC DSLBD), held an event of “Doing Business with Broughton Construction Company.” Thanks to the host Mr. Charles Wilson, Manager, Small Business Opportunities, Department of Small and Local Business Development who organized the very successful event which received great reviews from the participants.
The meeting was attended by DC business owners, vendors, construction firms and DC Government representatives. The session served as an informal conversation between Broughton Construction Company and the DC small business community regarding current and upcoming procurement opportunities. Broughton Construction provided an overview of procurement needs for their currently awarded and upcoming projects.
Attendees also were given an opportunity to network and participate in a panel discussion focusing on business topics such as the importance of becoming a Certified Business Enterprise (CBE), hiring DC workers for construction opportunities and services provided by DC DSLBD to small business.
