DCHA: Scattered Sites
The task at hand is to execute full interior and exterior renovations on several single and multi-family homes scattered throughout D.C.’s Northwest and Northeast districts. The renovated homes will provide affordable housing opportunities for well deserving families. Meticulous attention to detail, thorough workmanship, and targeted focus on DCHA’s needs are the ultimate building blocks to success. Several of the Scattered Sites under BROUGHTON’s contract with DCHA are funded by the U.S. government’s Competitive Stimulus fund. These funds are effectively stimulating the local economy as jobs are created as BROUGHTON’s sub-contractors hire construction workers and purchase building materials from local vendors. At least 10% of the total labor hours under the scattered sites contract are awarded to Washington DC residents who qualify as low income earners. In addition, at least half of the sub-contractors awarded work under the Scattered Sites contract will be minority owned Certified Business Enterprises.
